Data collection
Users can freely register and can measure for free.
Any user can freely download their measurements.
Data can be collected on a monthly basis from each user individually in your area (freely).
Water authorities should systematically download measurements in their area. Automatic collection can be set up through our API. Rates apply for water authorities so that Groundwater Global can maintain and improve their services.
Data can systemically be downloaded per area, like in the image, or by professional project, available in a professional Groundwater Global environment.
Collection of citizen data by area applies only for locations marked transparent, i.e. explicitly unlocked by the owning citizen for all to see. Groundwater Global assumes that, when collecting data from citizens, water authorities will recompense citizens appropriately for their contributions.
Collection by professional project works for transparent and for non-transparent locations.

Subscriptions (2026)
These rates are dependent on country, as they are multiplied by the Groundwater Global Solidarity Coefficient. Rates exclude tax.

** Area-based downloads are available only for community locations that are set to transparent by their owner.
Community users perform the monitoring and must explicitly make their location(s) transparent.
For 1 location credit in the subscription data can be collected from 4 transparent community locations.
Universities may get up to 80% discount on these rates.
A Solidarity Coefficient for each Country
Data collection rates are scaled by the Groundwater Global Solidarity Coefficient for reasons of equity. Each country has their own coefficient derived from income statistics.
